Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Kickspeed iOS application. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you are under 18, use Kickspeed with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
What Kickspeed is
Kickspeed measures athletic performance — sprint times, agility times, jump height — using your device's camera and sensors, and offers training content based on your results. It is a sports-performance tool. It is not a medical device and provides no medical advice.
Measurements are estimates
Scores depend on your camera, lighting, setup and calibration. Kickspeed rejects recordings it cannot measure reliably, and reports an uncertainty band with every result, but every measurement is an estimate. Do not use Kickspeed scores as the sole basis for decisions that matter, such as team selection or medical and training decisions made by professionals.
Health and safety
- Sprinting, jumping and shuttle runs are strenuous. Warm up before testing, use appropriate footwear and a safe surface, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort.
- Consult a physician before starting any training program, especially if you have a medical condition or are returning from injury.
- You use the app, and perform the physical activities it describes, at your own risk. Minors should be supervised by an adult during testing.
Subscriptions
Some features require the Kickspeed Premium subscription: $9.99 per month or $49.99 per year (prices in other regions are set by Apple and may vary; there is no free trial). Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple Account settings. Each test type can be completed once for free; sharing your score card is always free.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its services, and do not use them in any unlawful way. Record other people only with their consent.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, training content and scoring systems belong to us or our licensors. Your recordings and your results are yours.
Warranty and liability
Kickspeed is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including injuries sustained during physical activity, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the previous twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
